Roundup: The Greatest Labor Day Sales
I cannot believe Labor Day is already upon us! If you're like me, you're totally ready to pull out those Fall comfy clothes after the freaking hottest summer ever in my book (okay maybe that's just me because nobody was kidding when they told me about that Kansas heat!). Anyhow, I love this time of year for so many reasons. The leaves start to change, the pumpkin spice flavors are in full swing, the crisp air rolls in, the rainy days offer the coziest of vibes, oh yeah, and I don't have to shave my legs as often (Hallelujah!). The other reason this time of year is so great? The shopping sales!! Nothing says Labor Day or Fall like a good SALE.
PSA about my recent shopping habits: I've found myself expanding my online shopping horizons this year; I found my old faithfuls started to get kind of boring and expected. I've also felt like this year, there hasn't been a ton of variety in the types of styles carriers are offering. I've noticed different shades of basically the same thing at more than one retailer and I don't really like that. I've found myself shopping more and more at vintage stores to find those one-of-a-kind (and sometimes better quality) pieces that make me smile.
That being said, around this time every year, I stock up on a few key pieces that can be transitional through the fall and into the winter; think: boots, jackets, tees, denim, etc. Plus, I find I always luck out this time of year with summer items that are WAY on sale for the season's end. These pieces often sit dormant in my closet until spring-time, but I am super cautious about this. Probably 90% of the time I still try and ensure the items I purchase can be immediately worn.
Alright, enough talk. Now on to the sales!! Below I'm rounding up my top 6 sales for the upcoming long weekend along with some of the pieces I'd choose if I could shop them all. Happy shopping everyone! XOXO, Sarah Riley Rose
Why Nordstrom: I've loved Nordstrom for as long as I can remember. It's not only the staple of chicness, but it offers quality products with a great return policy and they truly stand by all their products, which I appreciate. I find I usually end up mostly getting basics like tees and tanks and cardigans or denim at Nordstrom.
Why A+F: everyone likes a comeback and Abercrombie is no different. They popped back up on the radar only a few months ago in my eyes and they have killer stuff at SUPER AMAZING prices. Their denim was always super good and I love their knits.
Why DSW: Why not?! Am I right? There isn't another shoe store on the planet that offers as many luxury brands and styles at such affordable prices and these sales this time are just the icing on the cake. I'm going to stock up on ankle boots since I've run my current ones into the ground these past few seasons.
Why Revolve: Okay, if you haven't shopped here and you're tight on the pocketbook, then don't hate me that this one is a bit on the pricier side. BUT, I can't tell you how much style inspo is in every single photo. They do the BEST job meticulously styling each and every piece for their shoots and I get so much inspiration just perusing (and dreaming) I could own everything. For real though, I have gotten quite a few pieces from here over the years but they've pretty much always been from their sale side, and it does NOT disappoint.
Why Forever21: Do I shop here for everything? NO. But, I have so many great cardigans and maxi dresses from here that I still have on rotation, but they are super great at being up-to-the-minute with hot styles. A sale that deserves a look for sure!
Why Macy's: Macy's is a place I've gone since I was in middle school. Kind of on the lower-end of the luxury department stores but that doesn't mean they lack in quality or brands they offer. I find I ALWAYS find the greatest steals here and an added bonus: if you're a Macy's card holder like I am? You basically get so much off it feels like stealing. lol.
